The Society was incorporated under the Society Act on June 26, 1987. Currently, the purpose of the Society is to provide event management leadership to achieve sport, individual and community development. Approximately 89% of the Society's revenues are received from the Province of B.C. with the remainder generated by corporate sponsors, surpluses from host societies, athlete registration fees, contract service and interest.
