Ministry of Health Services (2008) was established June 23, 2008. Chronology of Ministry of Health Services: Ministry of Health Services (2001 was established June 5, 2001 when former Ministry of Health and Ministry Responsible for Seniors was dissolved and its functions transferred to the newly formed Ministry of Health Services and the Ministry of Health Planning. On January 26, 2004 the Ministry of Health Planning was absorbed into the Ministry of Health Services. Ministry of Health (2005) was formed June 16, 2005 when the Ministry of Health Services was renamed Ministry of Health (reverting to a former name). The Ministry of Health (2005) again reverted to its previous name on June 23, 2008 when the Ministry of Health was renamed Ministry of Health Services (2008). After a cabinet realignment on Oct. 25, 2010, the Ministry of Healthy Living and Sport was disestablished, and health promotions functions were absorbed into the Ministry of Health Services. The Ministry of Health Services (2008) was dissolved on March 14th, 2011 when it was reverted to its previous name the Ministry of Health (2011).
