Knowledge Network, operating since 1981- , became a crown corporation when The Knowledge Network Corporation Act, passed in May 2007, "continued the Open Learning Agency as a corporation under the name Knowledge Network Corporation." (quote from the Act).

"The new system will officially begin this fall, coinciding with the launch of a new brand that is clear and memorable <U+2013> Knowledge Network will shorten its name to Knowledge.
