"Roosevelt elk (Cervus elaphus roosevelti) were studied near Campbell River, on northern Vancouver Island, from April 1981 until March 1986. Thirty-three elk were radio-collared, including 24 adult cows, 2 yearling bulls, 5 adult bulls, and 2 calves.
